Meet Stephanie Kakkenberg, who joined ChainCraft in February 2025 as part of the Operations team – after completing a six-month graduation internship with our R&D team. With fresh academic insights and hands-on experience on our processes, she stepped smoothly into her role as Junior Process Engineer at the Demo plant.

In her day-to-day work, Stephanie focuses on monitoring and improving the Demo process from start to finish. Together with the team, she looks for smart solutions to challenges that arise during operations. “No day is the same, and not always predictable either. The variety in tasks, the need to switch quickly and the collaboration with colleagues across different teams make the work really fun!”

Since joining, Stephanie has experienced a strong sense of trust and belonging. “At the start, everything and everyone is new, but the small and close-knit team quickly brings you along. I soon felt independent in my work, and I’m given that space too, which gives me a lot of confidence and enjoyment.”

A favourite memory from her early days? “In my first week, we went to a karaoke bar with a group of colleagues. Such a fun way to start: doing something enjoyable after work and getting to know everyone in a more informal setting.”
